QuantMK

Korean-market automated trading research that pairs a rules-based strategy with an LLM reviewer

Sends orders to the brokerage account only after they clear a backtest gate and an LLM trade reviewer, then publishes each day's outcome as normalized returns, symbols, and research-snapshot timestamps. The latest published snapshot on the Labs page shows the currently available paper or live status.

Personal research track

This project is part of SMK Labs' personal research track, not a public product. Downloads, purchases, and commercial service availability are not planned.

How it's built

Reads market data to build momentum signals and only sends orders that pass both a backtest gate and an LLM reviewer to the operator's personal account. The weekday research cycle records its method and observations through return-based summaries.

QuantMK frequently asked questions

Is QuantMK an investment service that anyone can use?
No. QuantMK is a personal research project that tests a rules-based strategy and an LLM reviewer on the operator's personal account. It is not available to download or buy and is not offered as a commercial service. The displayed symbols and performance are research records; SMK Labs does not provide investment advice to visitors or sell or transmit recommendations or trading signals for visitors to follow.
Does the LLM choose stocks and place orders by itself?
No. The system first derives rules-based momentum signals from market data. Only orders that pass the backtest gate, decision-drift guard, volatility guard, and LLM trade review are sent to the operator's personal account. The LLM supports review and reflection; it is not the sole stock selector.
Is QuantMK currently paper trading or live trading?
The operating mode can change, so check the latest scorecard on the page. It is split into paper-trading and live-trading (canary) tabs, each showing that account's first trade date and results, and it says so when an account has no record. If the mode cannot be verified, the page reports that it is checking the account instead of assuming either mode. Check the as-of date and update time as well.
How should I interpret the published returns?
The scorecard shows normalized percentages and an index anchored at 100 on the start date rather than principal or account value. ‘Today’ compares with the previous trading session, ‘This month’ accumulates from the start of the month, ‘Since start’ accumulates from the first day of the index record, and each stock's return is its current valuation against its buy price. Read these figures with the as-of date, update time, and any data-check warning. Past research observations do not imply future returns.
What market data does QuantMK use?
The current research description says it receives KOSPI and KOSDAQ market prices through the KIS Open API and uses them to derive momentum signals.
